So ladies, if you’re a devotee of Pixie Glow Tonic but can’t possibly afford it anymore like me (the parent life), then you need to try this little beauty!
I was in Aldi’s having a bargain hunt, stocking up on essentials and decided to have a browse down what I like to call the ‘junk aisles’ two to three aisles with random bits and bobs all shoved together. Anyhow, I came across a bottle of what seemed like the Pixie Glow Tonic (very smart move Lacura) I’ve always loved their packaging so this caught my eye straight away. At £4 I thought ‘what the hell!’ so I picked one up for myself.
After what seemed the longest day I fixed myself a decent cup of tea, put an episode of Game Of Thrones on and got my cotton pads ready to test the product!
As soon as I finished cleansing I had a feel of my skin, the aloe vera in this really did its magic, my skin was so soft! I almost skipped using a moisturiser… but that would just be insane! The product really does what it says on the bottle, delivered the same subtle glow as the Pixie toner and left my skin feeling really refreshed. Admittedly, I sat there quite happy with myself for about an hour.
The only thing I would say is I have very sensitive skin and eyes. I would never use this to remove eye make-up. The product is highly concentrated and contains 5% glycolic acid. So be aware this is essentially a toner /exfoliator and really shouldn’t be used as a make-up remover. You might find its fine to use around the eyes but for me its too much. So ladies with sensitive skin take caution!
So Pixie vs Lacura. Which one?
I love the Pixie Glow but there is not much dispute between the high-end product and the low-end product. I didn’t have much to compare on except price and pacakging! Pixie Glow Tonic retails at £18. Lacura Healthy Glow retails at £4… what a steal! So for me it has to be the Lacura Healthy Glow Toner, for the price you can’t go wrong. Super impressed and will definitely be back to stock up some more. Lacura also has a whole range of skincare I want to put to the test!
After a morning of blogging, I decided to treat myself to one of my favourite Nescaffe Gold Toffee Latte’s (simple things in life) I also want to give a shout-out to the Aldi’s candle in ‘Fantasy’ smells amazing. Will be burning this over the weekend.
