If there’s anything I spend a little more money on when it comes to cosmetics, it’s always my concealer! Trying to find a good concealer that gives great coverage without looking cakey has always been a challenge. I always find if you have great coverage with your concealer the less foundation you need!
I did a bit of research and heard so many good things about this concealer which claims to be highly pigmented, full coverage with no creasing or cracks! Plus, your anti-aging under-eye essential is infused with peptides, vitamins, antioxidants, hydrolyzed collagen and hyaluronic acid. Naturally I decided to put it to the test and see what my thoughts were on this.
I’ve tried so many different brands and always stick to my Mac Studio Fix so was hesitant to try this as it’s basically the same price. I purchased this from the Boots website for £23.50. Yes, it is a lot and I will forever be trying to find a cheaper alternative.
When putting a little too much to the back of my hand, I noticed how thick and creamy the product is. I always swatch my concealer on a tiny freckle I have on my hand to see how well the coverage is and this covered it right up!
When applying to the under eye I noticed a huge difference straight away. Not only great coverage, it’s also really brightening. This leaves you with a very radiant finish to your makeup look. I have always set my concealer with a very light setting powder to avoid any creasing so I would always recommend this even if it claims to be crease free.
After a few days I was still trying to decide if I preferred this over my trusty Mac concealer which dries much quicker and gives a matte finish…. so I was trying to get used to the illuminating finish on this one. However, after nearly 2 weeks of trying this I can say I’m very happy with this product! Great for summer as it gives such a beautiful sun kissed glow to the skin!
I didn’t think it was possible to be in love with a concealer! Even the packaging is gorgeous with its pastel pink and silver combo. Like every concealer I’ve tried there is a slight crease with this one after a couple of hours but it’s really not noticeable enough for me to disregard the product all together. Apart from slight creasing this product is not cakey looking at all, if used correctly. When applying this apply sensibly and remember less is more! If you end up like me the first time applying way too much, use the extra product to hightlight other areas such as your chin and forehead.
One more thing if you haven’t already had enough of my rambling! This is also anti-aging so is a massive winner for someone like me who is in my 30s looking for anything that has anti-aging included!
